My mother spent some time here November 2025 threw December 2025 after hip surgery, this place had next to no supplies in her room .When she got there she was unable to feed herself so they knew they would be doing that and to follow up with oral care to make sure there was no food left behind. She was loosing weight and extra snacks and calories was order. To top things off I walked in as she was being changed just to hear a nurse arguing with her on ( how this don’t hurt and that my mom was wrong for saying so..) Um esxuse me if she said it hurt it hurt , she never complained of pain .I talked with her nurses with concerns of a bed sore and pressure sore on her foot and it went un charted for 2 Days .If you want your loved 1 to be forgotten about this is the place . There was 1 guy there who gave a dame , but he can’t do it all be himself. We finally decided to bring her home and the night before she ended up in the ER do to her aspirated in the afternoon, yet No one notified us till almost 9pm . Run SKIP this place
As a former resident who used to spend a lot of time in the Rose Garden smoking area, I would like to give my 5 stars to Jennifer Harper. I am truly sad that she is leaving,. She has made a big difference, and she will be greatly missed. I would also like to give another 5 stars to Kaylene Estabaya, the best Activities Director. She brought so much color and life into the facility. She always greeted us with a smile and made everyone feel welcome. Her one-on-one room visits, especially in the mornings with the newspaper, truly made our day. I miss you both so much, and I’m truly sad that you are no longer be working at EPA to share your happiness and kindness with other residents. You made such a big difference in our lives, and the place will not be the same without you. Thank you for all the joy, care, and positivity you brought every day. You will always be remembered and deeply missed.
The place is old, the food is bearable, but the staff is wonderful. I never saw a bunch of people who work so hard and are so kind.
The nurses and CNAs are great. You never have to wait for too long after you push the call light. The food is not great, but it’s not horrible.
My mom is there for short term rehab. Getting stronger everyday thanks to Vicki, the rehabilitation lady and a personal Thank you to my mom’s, Evy Wilson’s nurse, Kayla for being such an amazing, caring and extremely professional-Top notch Nurse! She is above and beyond and I am extremely impressed with Kayla. Thank you for such great care you take of my mom and for making me feel safe with entrusting her care to you. She has been in other places at times and I never felt this confident in her care and safety as I have with the current staff she has taking care of her now.
I have been at a couple of Skilled Nursing facility’s. My first thought, was not good. The staff, AMAZING!! The care you receive, UNBELIEVABLE!! KINDNESS AND CARE. EMMA, this woman takes great pride in her job! What a pleasure to have an experience!! The CNA’S, so kind. Morgan! Very clean facility, ESMERALDA!! Therapy, JUDY, CLAUDETTE, LIZ, so many more!!
My dad is fighting for his life and isn’t going too make it. He was places in this facility and was not cared for the way you would hope a facility would care for your family member. I don’t know if it was a lack of training or incompetent or both.
Boosting the score by having employees write reviews is unethical. My step-dad was here for a few weeks in February post release from Palomar. The place is old run down and the food is horrid. The staff was okay, and obviously overworked. Getting a return call or having questions answered was challenging to say the least. They released him saying he was okay to go though he wasn’t strong enough. One staff member agreed with me when I said he won’t be able to be left alone. Another mentioned not having any open beds and they were at full capacity when we were checking out. Hmm. He fell within 24 hours cracked his head open, and spent another 5 days in the hospital. Thank goodness we were able to get him to a place in Poway which was Amazing! We were advised to write a letter per their social worker to the state. In her opinion it was blatant neglect by Post Acute. I wouldn’t recommend this place to ANYONE.
My dad was temporarily placed here for rehabilitation. This is not your typical skilled nursing facility. As soon as we walked in the door it smelled really good and My mother and I were greeted by the most kind, loving, and considerate staff. My dad’s care was nothing short of amazing. All his caregivers were the most tentative, caring and compassionate people we have ever met. One caregiver in particular was named Windy and she treated my dad like as if he was her father. She called him papa and tended to all of his daily needs. The x-ray tech Tony was awesome as well as the physical therapists. My dad said the food wasn’t bad and the dietician’s came in from day to day to check on his food quality and adequacy. The rooms need some upgrades and cosmetic fixes but as far as the care it’s nothing short of the best. My dad has also made some lasting friendships and has left there with a sense of knowing if has to receive placement in the future he’d like to come back to a place where they made him feel at home. A many thanks to Cindy at the front desk for being so amazing as well as Bobbette the social worker for being so professional and compassionate to my dad’s needs.

Love the people here and you can tell they love their jobs and their patients!
Clean and friendly staffs
This is by far the best facility to have your loved ones being cared for. All the staff here work together to make sure they have the best care possible.
Excellent Staff, wonderful patient care, facility is actually clean compared to other’s that I have visited.
I’ve been here for 2 years , I’ve meet some of the most wonderful people here made lots of friends for sure. It’s relly convenient for me being so close to home , I love what I do and I love that it’s at EPAR 🙌🙌
I’ve been here for almost 7 months & have been cared for on several different wards. The nursing here is off the charts excellent,, especially the CNA’s. Attitude is positive and very encouraging. The problems here mostly, stem from their need for additional staff. I’ve waited for more than hour for a response to my call light. There are also nearly always some nurses from the registry, the equivalent of a substitute trin the school systerem. Not to say regi ach erstry nurses are bad, butea they often aren’t familiar with how things are done at this facility. One day my roommate was having symptoms of a potential stroke and we yelled and rang the call light incessantly for 20 mins or more. The only treatment given was 2 Tylenol for the pain in her arm. The nurse may have seen something that told her it was not a stroke, but she didn’t tell the patient, who continued to worry into the next day. I got lost in the shuffle of shift change last week. After about an hour the CNA for the new shift came in, and was poised to help, when she was stopped by the charge nurse. He told her they.were.changing her assigned rooms and she left, telling me “someone” would be by to help me. After 15 mins I resumed pressing the call button every 10-15 mins. Eventually the CNA returned, saying that she’d been given her original rooms back. By this time I’d waited for over 3 hours. Thankfully it wasn’t an emergency, but I did experience discomfort. I told her I’d thought she would at least let someone else know that I’d been waiting for way too long.
I have been an employee of this facility for over 6 months now. I look forward to coming to work due to the wonderful atmosphere. From the administrator, to the CNAs, you can tell everyone loves to work here. The staff is warm and welcoming and all try their best to help the patients who live here or who are here for a short term stay. The rehab department is fun and vibrant too! If you have a loved one who needs short term care, this is the place to go. From the nurses to the maintenance staff, you will know your loved one is getting the best care.
Great people and caregivers work here.
The staff is exceptional—compassionate, attentive, and genuinely invested in the well-being of their residents. It’s evident that they are not only skilled professionals but also have a genuine heart for service.
